Our Furniture Care Instructions

Care Instructions for Chamchuri Wood Furniture

• Handling Spills and Stains.
Wipe the furniture with a clean, lint-free cloth dampened with clear water, followed by a dry cloth immediately. This will help prevent water spots from leaving marks on the surface.

• Avoiding Chemical Use.
Avoid using harsh or corrosive chemicals. Instead, use a cleaner specifically designed for wood or mild soapy
water, wiping along the grain. Follow up with a clean, dry cloth.

• Caring for Rough Finishes (Rough Finishing).
Avoid using synthetic fiber cloths, wool cloths, or tissues that might leave fibers on the surface. Instead, use a
clean cloth or a soft-bristled brush for cleaning. You may use clean water or a suitable cleaner, followed by a
dry cloth to ensure thorough cleaning.

• Preventing Scratches.
To preserve the beauty of your furniture, avoid cutting, scraping, or contact with hard and sharp objects.
When placing items on the furniture, use coasters or protective pads to prevent scratches, and lift items
instead of dragging them across the surface.

• Protecting from Environmental Damage.
Keep wooden furniture indoors as exposure to sunlight and moisture from rain can cause damage. Sunlight
may cause the color to fade, and moisture can lead to mold growth.

• Periodic Maintenance.
Regularly clean and inspect the furniture surface for cracks. Check the tightness of screws and bolts frequently.
If the furniture will not be used for an extended period, cover it with a clean cloth to protect it from dust.

• Cleaning Stains General Cleaning
Use a soft cloth or sponge with warm, soapy water. Rinse with clean water and dry. For tougher stains like
food, grease, or tea/coffee marks, create a paste using baking soda and water. Apply, scrub gently, rinse, and
dry.

• Prevent Damage Avoid Harsh Chemicals
Steer clear of abrasive cleaners, bleach, or acidic products (like vinegar or lemon), which can damage or dull
the glaze. Avoid hard impacts, as ceramic surfaces can chip or crack when struck by sharp objects. Clean up
spills, especially acidic foods or liquids, immediately to prevent stains.

Care Instructions for Stainless Steel & Iron Powder Coat Surfaces

• Cleaning Stains
For cleaning stains, both stainless steel and iron powder coat can be cleaned with mild soapy water or a
degreaser for tougher stains. Wipe with a soft cloth, rinse with clean water, and dry thoroughly to avoid water
spots. For oil, grease, or food stains, use a degreaser or warm soapy water for both materials. If rust forms on
stainless steel, use a stainless steel cleaner or rust remover. For iron powder coat, use a non-abrasive cleaner
designed for powder-coated surfaces. Always ensure to rinse and dry the surface after cleaning to maintain
its finish.

• Preventing Damage
To prevent damage, avoid using abrasive pads or harsh chemicals like bleach, chlorides, or hydrochloric acid,
as these can harm both stainless steel and iron powder coat surfaces. For stainless steel, always use soft cloths
or non-abrasive sponges and clean stains promptly. For iron powder coat, avoid dragging heavy objects across
the surface to prevent scratches or chipping, and clean spills quickly to avoid staining or damage to the
coating.

• Finishing Touches
After cleaning, always dry both stainless steel and iron powder coat surfaces to prevent water spots, streaks,
or rust formation. For polishing, use a stainless steel polish on stainless steel, rubbing in the direction of the
grain for a smooth finish. For iron powder coat, apply a non-abrasive polish to restore shine, but avoid using
waxes, as they can attract dirt.

Care Instructions for Brass

• Cleaning Stains
Clean brass legs with mild soapy water and a soft cloth. For tarnish, use a brass cleaner or a paste of lemon
juice and baking soda. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

• Preventing Damage
Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals. Dust regularly and apply a protective lacquer or wax to prevent
tarnishing. Avoid heavy objects to prevent dents or scratches.

• Finishing Touches
Always dry the brass after cleaning. Use brass polish to restore shine, but avoid waxes that attract dirt.
